I’ve been writing reviews for Comixtreme.com for some time now, over two thousand reviews at this point. I know, it’s insane, isn’t it? Every so often, Comixtreme has to prune old threads, reviews, columns and the like – there’s only so much server space to go around, after all. Not wanting to see those old reviews lost to the ether, I’ve established a LiveJournal Community, The Back Issue Bin. Here I’ll be presenting my old reviews a few at a time. But I wanted it to be more than just an archive of my old reviews – that’s why I’ve made it an open community. Any LiveJournaler can join the community and post their own reviews of any old comic, from the golden age right up to a comic just taken off the “new release” shelf. As I add an old review to the Back Issue Bin, I’ll provide the link here — if an issue isn’t a link yet, don’t worry. It will be. I may also add a new review on occasion — “new” meaning “never appeared on CX”. Y’know, if I get the urge to review something else old. Reviews of titles with multiple volumes are the current or most recent volume unless otherwise noted.
