Sorry, gang, I’m afraid there’ll be no Everything But Imaginary column today. In just a couple of hours, I’ll be off to spend a few too-short days with Erin. I’ll be home on Sunday, and your usual schedule of columns, podcasts, fiction, and whatever else I can find will resume on Monday. I may wind up posting short bits while I’m gone, but it won’t be a regular schedule.
In the meantime, I do have something cool to report. In the “Picks of the Week” for this week’s Showcase podcast, I mentioned an awesome little comic called Love and Capes that Erin told me about. I’ve recommended a lot of books to her, but this is the first time she’s ever recommended a comic book to me. Well, Thom Zaler, the cartoonist behind the book, found the podcast and gave us both a nice little shout-out on his website. Thanks, Thom! I’ve been blurbed for my reviews a few times now (go pick up the hardcover of Marvel Zombies 2 and look at the Comixtreme.com quote on the back cover — that’s all me, baby), but this is the first time Erin’s gotten the nod from a creator she’s talked about. I’m so proud of my geek girl.
