Home in one piece

This weekend, as you may have heard, I darted off to Maine for the wedding of some friends. Erin and I had a wonderful time with old and new friends alike, and except for the gargantuan hassle that I went through trying to get home (by the way, US Airways is horrible), I couldn’t have been happier.

Erin has posted all of the pictures we took to her Facebook page, but for the sake of you who’d like to see them and aren’t among her Facebook friends, I’ve added them to my own Flickr album. Go ahead and take a look.

Good week

It’s been a fine week with Erin, but it’s not done yet. We’ve hit a Plantation house, a Voodoo game, the French Quarter, and today we’re hanging with my friends. Expect regular updates to resume on Monday.

Enough days like this one

It’s been a trying couple of days, friends. A very dear friend of mine unexpectedly passed away on Sunday. The school has kind of been in turmoil trying to deal with the loss — the teachers were all a wreck yesterday for our first day back, and the kids who knew her were out of it today. Tomorrow is the funeral, so it’s not likely I’ll have an Everything But Imaginary column — I’m sure you all understand.

Tell your friends you love them, guys, and enjoy the first full week of the year more than I will. Hopefully, I’ll be able to get back to normal by the end of the week.
